Camp Descriptions

In this five-day camp, each day will consist of listening to an animal movement from Carnival of the Animals suite by Camille Saint-Saëns, look around the world with our inflatable globes, sing a song from Psalm 105:4, learn several piano related concepts like key groupings and notes with the help of interactive stories, introduce new music vocabulary and techniques, improvise on the piano, and eat theme-related snacks!!! We will also be creating art from music and discuss how the emotions we feel from listening to the music helps us create art. This will help children begin to identify and verbalize emotions. 4-6 Year Old’s:

These 5 days are packed with activities to increase the student’s knowledge of history, geography, language, science, music, and art by listening to the different movements of Carnival of the Animals suite by Camille Saint-Saëns. Throughout the week, the students will learn more about musical motives, rhythm patterns, vocabulary terms and use, and pianistic techniques while creating their own musical composition based on their favorite animal. We will also be creating art from music and discuss how the emotions we feel from listening to the music helps us create art. This will help children begin to identify and verbalize emotions. There will be a special performance at the last day of camp to share all they have learned! All other details can be found in the registration link below!

Summer Lessons Description

This summer option is perfect if you are interested in trying the piano! For 7 weeks, students (age 7-17) will have a 30 minute lesson that will cover all the basics and foundation of the piano. They will be able to play several pieces by the end of the summer! Lessons will be with Grace Radosevich, one of the teachers at Music on Main. The cost is $210 + $20 book fee.
